Job summary

Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in Baltimore is seeking an Analyst to join the Industrials Group. You will work closely with senior bankers on sell-side and buy-side advisory, as well as underwriting and placing equity and debt offerings for public and private companies.

The role requires at least 1 year in investment banking, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Dealogic, CapIQ and Bloomberg. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in investment banking, Industrials experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills essential
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Elevated attention to detail and consistency in work product
• Strong work ethic and team player
• Organized and proactive
• Dealogic, CapIQ, Bloomberg and MS Office suite knowledge strongly preferred
• Series 63, 79 licenses and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) FINRA registrations required at time of hiring or shortly thereafter

Responsibilities

• Preparing client presentations, drafting offering memoranda, preparing internal committee memoranda, preparing management and board presentations and other materials for senior bankers as required
• Transaction execution involving direct client interaction and communication
• Managing client due diligence processes
• Conducting extensive financial modeling and valuation
• Assessing industry research and trends
• Liaise with both internal and external parties (including corporate issuers, financial sponsors, legal counsel, among others) to expand corporate relationships and drive day-to-day deal process
• Review and oversee development of financial models, valuation analyses, research
