Job Description

KeyBanc Capital Markets is seeking a full-time investment banking analyst to support the Asset Backed Securitization (ABS) Group in New York City.

About the Job

Analysts in KBCM act as the primary day-to-day leaders for analytical support, including financial statement analysis; industry research; transaction surveillance; and the preparation of presentations, spreadsheets, and documents such as memoranda, management presentations, and new business proposals. Analysts interact daily with bankers, clients, institutional investors, rating agencies, attorneys, and accountants. Experienced analysts may take on more of an Associate role, helping to manage transactions and interface directly with clients. They play a central role in coordinating team activities.

Essential Job Functions

• Collaborate with ABS investment bankers and product partners on securitizations and capital raising opportunities.
• Support credit providers lending to prospects/clients.
• Generate ideas and analytical materials for client meetings.
• Create PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, and other materials for clients, rating agencies, investors, or internal use.
• Maintain tracking spreadsheets on closed deals, monitor secondary trading trends, and compile data on comparable transactions.

Required Qualifications

• Motivated individual with an interest in Investment Banking or Capital Markets.
• Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
• Ability to clearly express ideas succinctly.
• Interest in corporate finance, investment banking, accounting, and financial markets.
• Strong academic background in Economics, Accounting, and Finance.
• Research skills.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and a desire to work in a challenging environment.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a base salary ranging from $105,000 to $125,000 annually, depending on experience, education, licenses, and certifications. Additional compensation includes eligibility for short-term and deferred incentives based on performance. For a list of benefits, please click here.
