The PNC Investments Research & Due Diligence team is seeking a qualified individual who has a strong investment acumen (particularly one with experience with advisory products and investment due diligence) to join the team as an advisory portfolio analyst. PNCI manages over $25 billion in advisory assets across a variety of managed accounts and multi-asset portfolios for a wide range of client segments that include the Mass Market, Mass Affluent and Affluent investors. The successful candidate will be charged with oversight responsibility for the development and ongoing management of the firm’s various advisory models and allocations as well as perform investment research and due diligence on select third party investment strategies used in these advisory programs.

As an Investment Analyst within PNC Investments, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. The position will primarily be located at the Tower at PNC Plaza.

Job Description

  • The candidate will have experience is building and managing multi-asset investment portfolios that use mutual funds, ETFs and separately managed accounts (SMAs)
  • Experience using third party investment research databases (i.e.: Morningstar Direct, Factset, Bloomberg, eVestment) is preferred
  • The successful candidate will have experience in writing investment and economic commentary and research for financial advisors and clients
  • Licensing requirements: Capital Markets - FINRA Series 7 & 63. PNCI Operations - FINRA Series 99 required. PNCI Product - FINRA Series 7 required. In addition, a combination of the following licenses will be required based on the incumbents department within PNCIs Product Group: FINRA 66 (or 63/65) or Life & Health Insurance.
  • Leverages analytical tools to provide business and technical expertise for the analytics process, tools and applications for a business function or business unit to create data driven solutions.
  • Recommends appropriate performance measures to be produced including lifts, efficiencies, confidence intervals and other statistical metrics.
  • Analyzes and processes data, builds and maintains models and report templates, and develops dynamic data-driven solutions.
  • Provides business clients with detailed actionable reports documenting findings from data processing and data analysis.
  • Consults on using business intelligence data for predictive analytics and facilitates implementation of new tools and data marts.
