Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager for Investment Accounting & Transformation in a hybrid role based in Bloomfield, CT. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience leading teams and managing complex accounting processes.
• Demonstrated success leading process improvement, technology implementation, or transformation initiatives.
• Strong analytical, communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled technologies.
• Experience with partnership investments, alternative investments, or insurance investment accounting.
• Knowledge of statutory accounting and insurance industry reporting requirements.
• Experience implementing accounting systems, investment subledgers, or finance transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Drive transformation and operational excellence to increase efficiency and reporting quality.
• Lead accounting and financial reporting for the partnership investment portfolio across GAAP and statutory requirements.
• Oversee collaboration with Front Office, Operations, Tax, and external auditors on disclosures and audits.
• Manage and develop the accounting team, fostering accountability and innovation.
• Partner with Technology to implement new accounting systems and automation initiatives.
