Applied Underwriters, headquartered in Omaha, NE, seeks an Investment Accountant to support accounting and reporting for the investment portfolio. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and help deliver GAAP and statutory compliant financial reporting while contributing to process improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting or finance and experience in insurance accounting, investment reporting, internal controls, or process improvements, with strong Excel and MS

The Investment Accountant supports the accounting and reporting for our investment portfolio. The role prepares journal entries, completes account reconciliations, and helps deliver accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and statutory requirements. The Investment Accountant also contributes to process improvements and technology implementations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Experience in insurance accounting, investment reporting, internal controls, or process improvement.
• Experience with GAAP and statutory accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
