Description

The Investigator II within our Corporate Security division will support the ongoing success of the Investigations function by providing an independent and objective investigations service throughout the organization.

In this role, you will participate in a variety of investigations and support investigations across the bank. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Conducting investigations in all areas of the bank in a timely, professional, and accurate manner.
  • Prioritizing workload to ensure investigations are undertaken efficiently and cost-effectively, while applying appropriate banking laws.
  • Tracing, freezing, and recovering funds expediently.
  • Recommending improvements in systems, controls, and financial fraud prevention.
  • Leading the delivery of expert investigative services and providing specialist advice on investigations.
  • Providing clear guidance to business line stakeholders and customers via in person and/or telephone communication.
  • Drafting comprehensive investigation reports summarizing the investigation, details, interviews, key findings, and recommendations.
  • Building relationships with internal contacts within the bank and externally with industry peers and law enforcement to enhance effectiveness.

This is not a remote position. The successful candidate will work out of our Medford, MA office three days per week, with two days available for remote work if desired.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • At least 3 years of current investigations, financial fraud, and/or legal experience, preferably in banking, financial services, or retail sectors.
  • Knowledge of legal, statutory, and regulatory environments related to investigations within banking institutions.
  • Experience or interest in interviewing internal and external parties.
  • Strong computer skills, including databases, spreadsheets, and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of banking policies and procedures related to misconduct, systems, operations, regulation, compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Working knowledge of investigative or research tools, search engines, and open-source intelligence.

Education, Certifications, and Other Credentials:

  • Associates Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner certification is preferred.

Hours & Work Schedule:

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Pay Range:

The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $85,000. Actual pay will depend on factors including location, skills, and experience.
