Job summary

The Anchorage Police Department is seeking qualified candidates for the Investigative Support Unit within APD. This role supports detectives, crime suppression, and patrol by locating offenders, securing locations, and assisting in high-profile investigations.

ISU members work both in teams and independently, generating accurate reports and maintaining strong inter-agency cooperation. A strong commitment to MOA values and public safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a current sworn employee working within the Anchorage Police Department.
• Current APD SWAT Team member.
• Minimum of three (3) years as a Police Officer with the Anchorage Police Department.
• Must be able to perform all functions of a Police Officer.

Responsibilities

• Respond to complaints and requests for police assistance.
• Coordinate with other agencies and maintain records and daily reports; prepare cases for court testimony.
• Conduct preliminary investigations; collect and preserve evidence; testify in court as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
