Job summary

Charles Taylor is seeking an Editor to join the Orlando team. EDUCATORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY! The Editor will edit and proofread investigative reports and tailor them to client requests, reviewing content to ensure client objectives are met and coordinating with investigators and regional case managers for details.

This fast-paced, entry-level role offers training, opportunities for advancement, and a collaborative environment. Some overtime may be required; travel is unlikely.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills and a thorough knowledge of principles of composition and grammar.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and take direction from multiple adjusters.
• Strong interpersonal skills and work co-operatively with others to achieve a common goal.
• Take direction, follow up, assist the other Editors when necessary and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Adaptability, initiative, and dependability and must maintain absolute confidentiality with respect to the Company’s proprietary information.
• Excellent spelling, grammar and proofreading skills.
• Ability to understand written and oral communication, communicate clearly and accurately, both orally and in writing, and prepare reports and correspondence.
• Competent personal computer skills using Microsoft Office applications, electronic mail system, and routine database activity; Ability to type 50 wpm.
• Ability to maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as determined in the Company’s sole discretion; ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrive at meetings and appointments on time.

Responsibilities

• Review, proofread and edit investigative reports for content and confirming client objectives are met.
• Review investigative video and audio footage.
