Job summary

Lawelawe Technology Services is seeking an Investigative Analyst to support investigations involving fraud, waste, abuse, and misconduct. The role focuses on analyzing data, developing insights, and assisting investigators to uphold accountability and integrity.

The candidate will perform background research, open-source reviews, and prepare analytical summaries, timelines, and visuals for leadership, while following applicable laws and NSF/OIG policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or related field.
• 3+ years investigating or analyzing data.
• Knowledge of investigative techniques, legal procedures, and law enforcement protocols.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; high attention to detail.
• US Citizenship; NSF clearance prerequisites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct background research, database queries, and open-source reviews for investigations.
• Analyze documents, financial records, electronic data, and grants for indicators of fraud or misconduct.
• Assist with intake, preliminary assessments, and documentation to support case leads.
• Maintain organized case files and digital evidence repositories.
• Prepare summaries, timelines, charts, and data visualizations for investigators and leadership.
• Track milestones and deadlines, coordinate reviews as needed.
