Job summary

Placer County Sheriff's Office seeks an Investigative Assistant in Auburn, CA, to support background investigations, records management, and data analysis for public safety operations.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in law enforcement crime prevention or related work, or three years in civilian support roles.
• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.

Responsibilities

• Conduct employment background investigations and contractor/vendor clearances.
• Review and redact sensitive documents, audio, and video for public release.
• Ensure compliance with CJIS and CORI information security requirements.
• Serve as liaison with POST, California DOJ, and software vendors.
• Monitor contractor/vendor CJIS/CORI compliance and track unit data.
• Support operational efficiency within the unit.
