Division/Unit: Financial Frauds Bureau

Civil Service Title: Community Associate

Position Title: Investigative Analyst

Salary Range: $55,150 - $58,508

Job Description:

The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) has an opening for an Investigative Analyst in its Financial Frauds Bureau. The role involves working closely with ADAs and Investigators, gathering, evaluating, and analyzing criminal investigation data, especially in financial crimes.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Assist ADAs in complex investigations into financial frauds and related crimes.
2. Analyze large volumes of financial documents and case data.
3. Search social media platforms to identify accounts belonging to targets/defendants.
4. Coordinate with ISPs to obtain and preserve communication content for investigations.
5. Work with law enforcement and financial institutions, assist in grand jury and trial preparations, create visual aids, and testify in court.
6. Perform administrative duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Level 1: Bachelor's degree + 1 year of relevant experience.
• Level 2: Bachelor's degree + 2 years of relevant experience.
• Level 3: Bachelor's degree + 3 years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree may substitute experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis, and/or Clear.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work under stress and communicate effectively with financial and law enforcement agencies.
• Attention to detail and data accuracy.
