Job summary

UN Women is seeking a qualified Investigations Consultant to conduct investigations, ensure quality assurance, and support the Internal Investigation Function. The role requires handling complex cases, interviewing witnesses, and producing legally sound reports.

Remote work with potential travel and international scope is possible. Master’s in law or equivalent, plus extensive investigative experience, is required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in law or related investigations field.
• First-level degree with 2 years of qualifying experience accepted in lieu of advanced degree.
• Experience in investigative work and handling of complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct timely investigations aligned with UN Women regulations and instructions.
• Plan and conduct investigations of serious and complex misconduct cases.
• Gather and analyze evidence, interview witnesses and subjects.
• Prepare concise written outputs including investigation and closure reports.
• Provide quality assurance review of investigation products and files.
• Maintain complete and accurate records and support disciplinary actions.
