Job summary

Civil Recruit seeks a Storeroom Attendant for a client site in Hartford, CT. The role focuses on receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting inventory in a non-climate controlled warehouse. First-week training will occur on the 1st shift, Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with 3 months temp assignment and potential for extension or temp-to-hire.

Qualifications

• 3+ months relevant experience and/or training.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required).
• Reading and interpreting safety rules, work orders, and maintenance instructions.
• Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn; MS-Office familiarity.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide; rate, ratio, percent).
• Strong communication and customer-service mindset; team-oriented and safety-minded.

Responsibilities

• Unloads, receives and stores incoming product, checks for damage and discrepancies with invoices.
• Sorts, labels and places items on racks or bins to optimize space.
• Issues items to site employees and maintains accurate issued/returned records.
• Enters data into a system to maintain stock records and respond to inquiries.
• Performs cycle counts and assists with inventory control.
