Job summary

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team supports over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech settings with flexible lab operations.

You will assist in receiving products, recording receipts, maintaining inventory, and stocking consumables across customer sites with daily scheduling and proactive communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of customer service, inventory replenishment, or material handling experience.
• Microsoft Teams experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Previous GMP facility experience strongly desired.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Receiving of products at customer dock or shipping/receiving point.
• Record receipts of inventory against packing slips and follow up on discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels in storerooms and customer areas.
• Transport consumables within the facility and stock POU locations multiple times daily or as needed.
• Transact stocking quantities using a scanner and software, and upload transactions to verify records.
• Conduct regular POU audits for signage and item quantities; maintain change records.
• Serve as the main contact for inventory availability issues and escalation path.
• Support Special Projects such as tours and non-standard activities onsite.
• Meet all scheduling requirements and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the supervisor of site services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Hourly Rate: $18.60

Location: Chandler, AZ

Shifts: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

How you will thrive and create an impact

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

• Receiving of products at customer dock or other shipping/receiving point, including unpacking and de-trashing of materials if necessary.

• Recording receipts of inventory against packing slips, including following up on any noted discrepancies.

• Maintaining accurate inventory levels both within Avantor storerooms and also at customer areas where back-stock of consumables is stored.

• Transportation of consumables throughout the customer facility on wheeled carts, and stocking of POU locations based on required inventory. The schedule for each POU may be multiple times per day, daily, or less frequently.

• Accurate transacting of stocking quantities by item and location utilizing a scanner and proprietary software, and downloading of transactions into our system as required to verify records capture and order generation.

• Monitorand engage in regular POU audits for proper signage, including items, min/max levels, contact information, and maintain a record of changes to items and quantities as needed.

• Serve as the point person for customer communications of any inventory availability issues and/or concerns, as well as a defined escalation path.

• Support Special Projects such as tours and other non-standard activities onsite.

• Meet all scheduling requirements of the role, including performing any other duties/tasks assigned.
