Job summary

CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs is seeking an Inventory Professional to efficiently manage supplies and equipment, maintaining optimal stock levels. You will receive, stock, issue and track inventory daily using the inventory management system, ensuring accurate counts and timely replenishments.

The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and reliable use of inventory software to support patient care and cost control at our Council Bluffs campus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 1 year of supply chain related experience.
• Ability to receive, stock, issue and track inventory daily with accuracy.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and cost control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Restocks supplies daily and rotates inventory to maintain accurate levels; generates orders as needed.
• Distributes medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas; monitors par levels.
• Identifies excess inventory and processes credits or returns stock.
• Notifies supervisor of outdates or slow-moving inventory.
• Participates in put away and validation of perpetual inventory; issues and credits materials.
• Maintains clean, organized stock locations; labels bins and updates pars.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Inventory Professional, you will efficiently and accurately manage supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels.

Every day you will receive, stock, issue, and track inventory, performing counts, reconciling discrepancies, processing orders, and utilizing management systems.

To be successful, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in inventory software, crucial for operational efficiency and cost control.

• Restocks supplies daily and rotates inventory supporting accurate inventory levels, generating orders/requisitions as needed
• Distributes medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas, while monitoring par levels for specific products to assure that appropriate levels are established in order not to affect patient care
• Identified excess inventory, returning stock and processing credits
• Notifies supervisor of outdates or slow moving inventory
• Participates in the put away and validation process of perpetual inventory items; issues and credits materials from the inventory management system
• Responsible for maintaining clean and orderly stock locations, and labeling bins and handling requests to change pars
