Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking an Inventory Team Leader to manage warehouse inventory control, supervise staff, and drive accuracy and continuous improvement in collaboration with operations and quality teams.

You will oversee cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure data integrity in the warehouse management system, while mentoring staff and participating in internal and external audits.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily inventory control activities (cycle counts, audits, reconciliations)
  • Supervise and develop inventory staff with training and feedback
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and root causes
  • Ensure accurate data entry and transactions in the WMS
  • Collaborate with operations, shipping and receiving to maintain accuracy
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends and improvements
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with policies and safety standards

We are seeking an Inventory Team Leader to oversee warehouse inventory control operations, lead and develop inventory staff, ensure inventory accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and drive continuous improvement in support of operational and customer excellence.

How you create impact
  • Lead and coordinate daily inventory control activities, including cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations.
  • Supervise and support inventory team members, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and root causes of stock variances.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and inventory transactions in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Collaborate with operations, shipping, and receiving teams to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as needed.
What we would like you to bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse inventory control, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and process improvement.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
