Position Details

Title: Inventory Team Lead

Reports To: Inventory Control Manager

Department: Production and Logistics

Effective Date: August 9, 2024

Position Summary

As an Inventory Team Lead, you will assist the Inventory Control Manager in maintaining accurate inventory levels and data, implementing efficient inventory and warehouse management processes, and ensuring the availability of products for our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead daily activities of the team, coordinate workflow, and motivate team members.
  2. Ensure safe, efficient, and effective inventory activities, including cycle counting in high reach bays and monitoring of team and equipment.
  3. Assist with inventory cycle counts, audits, and adjustments to reconcile physical and system records, identifying discrepancies.
  4. Participate in year-end physical inventory counts.
  5. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment, adhering to procedures and regulations.
  6. Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment proactively.
  7. Train and mentor team members on inventory and warehouse processes and systems.
  8. Train new employees on safety and quality standards.
  9. Develop and enforce inventory and warehouse policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  10. Identify process improvements and implement strategies to enhance management efficiency and accuracy.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has direct reports.

Minimum Requirements
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. At least 1 year of warehouse or inventory lead experience.
  3. Proficiency in English; bilingual skills preferred.
  4. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  5. Experience with inventory software and systems preferred.
  6. Forklift, reach truck, cherry picker certification and driving experience preferred.
  7. Ability to work independently and in teams.
  8. Strong safety commitment, attention to detail, and record-keeping skills.
  9. Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple demands.
  10. Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
  11. Dependability, initiative, high energy, and time management skills.
Other Requirements
  1. Valid driver’s license or ID.
  2. Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, listen for extended periods.
  3. Lift up to 50 pounds, bend, walk, and climb stairs.
  4. Varying work schedules may be required.
  5. Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
