Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Inventory Manager to lead the Parts Inventory Collaboration (PIC) Systems Team within the DAC organization.

You will drive design, performance, and data analytics across the PIC solution and data suite, with a focus on innovation, reliability, and stakeholder collaboration. The role requires strong leadership, experience in data management, ERP integrations, and vendor partnerships to ensure scalable, secure, and high‑quality data and reporting for Caterpillar

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems, data analytics, data science, computer science, supply chain, or related field.
• Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from various sources.
• Knowledge of the decision‑making process and related tools to reach informed conclusions.
• Knowledge of DRP and distribution planning for inventory across plants/warehouses.
• Planning and organizing tasks and resources in a methodical way.
• Relationship management techniques to build healthy client/vendor/peer relationships.
• Knowledge of supply chain management in manufacturing contexts.

Responsibilities

• Owns roadmap development, prioritization, and future‑state design for PIC Solution and PIC Data Analytics Suite.
• Provides technical ownership for PIC systems, data flows, interfaces, and performance.
• Manages vendor engagement, enhancement discussions, release planning, testing, and stakeholder communications.
• Leads design and modernization of the PIC Data Analytics Suite, including data quality and reporting.
• Provides direction for ERP conversions, dealer onboarding, and related system implementations.
• Prioritizes data requests, development work, solution design, and testing on the PIC Systems team.
• Develops parts business knowledge, project management, leadership, and communication skills within the team.
• Guides projects with scope, prioritization, and technical oversight.
• Collaborates with PIC Analytics to develop data structures and reports for PIC R&D programs.
• Guides DAC partners on issues, leading cross‑functional problem solving.
• Regularly updates DAC partners and stakeholders on PIC initiatives and operations.
