Job summary

NORD Gear Corporation in Waunakee, WI seeks an Inventory Support person to remove packaging materials, stock towels, and oversee trash removal and recycling across the plant.

You will operate cardboard and trash handling processes, support 5S initiatives, and collaborate with teams to maintain clean, organized work areas while meeting safety and efficiency goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with material handling preferred.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• NORD certified for operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts may be required.
• Able to work well with people and in a team environment.
• Physical: lift up to 50 lbs and stand/move 10–12 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Support shop floor by removing packaging materials across the plant.
• Stock reusable and non-reusable bathroom and shop towels throughout the building.
• Handle all trash removal and recycling programs.
• Assist with cardboard and waste handling and disposal per site procedures.
• Participate in 5S and general housekeeping as needed.

• Plant wide housekeeping and organization related to materials, trash, and packaging.
• Cleaning and maintenance activities including floor scrubber and maintaining of material racks.
• Be involved in 5S projects in the plant as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Summary

The Inventory Support person is primarily responsible for supporting the shop floor functions by removing packaging materials shop wide. This personal will stock all reusable and non-reusable bathroom and shop towels throughout the building. This person will be responsible for all trash removal and recycling programs.
