Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of the plant storeroom and maintain an adequate supply of parts and materials.
• Assist in receiving, unloading, stocking, and inventory control.
• Dispense maintenance items and supplies.
• Maintain part inventory on computer and requisition parts and materials.
• Edit the computer database when parts are received or removed from storeroom.
• Ensure purchase orders are approved and parts arrive when needed.
• Monitor inventory levels and suggest changes to reorder points/quantities.
• Assist engineering in cost estimates and reporting.
• Operate a lift truck to move inventory at Shaw's loading docks.
• Process items for repair and complete shipping paperwork.
