Overview

Responsible for ensuring that material handling, warehousing, packaging, loading and unloading of materials are done according to the defined schedule, the internal procedures and the customer's requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Health and Safety communication and coordinate trainings for the team, ensure all safety and housekeeping standards are adequate to achieve a safe work environment and avoid any long-term incident (LTI).
  • Analyze the root cause of any LTI and implement corrective actions to reduce risks of possible future LTIs.
  • Own and supervise cycle count program that meets the needs of the business and complies with ISO audit standards; develop and implement methods and procedures for ensuring accurate information on all transactions and that all inventory transactions are executed promptly and accurately.
  • Ensure all material coming from suppliers is entered into system according to order and transport receipt while maintaining high levels of accuracy in day‑to‑day operations.
  • Organize the warehousing of products, inventories and supplies to facilitate safe storage of inventory, timely shipments and maximum utilization of space; own the accuracy of the inventory and ensure all stock movements are recorded in system.
  • Responsible for packaging for expedites (boxes, boards, carton boards, etc.), supervise subcontracting of packaging and ensure all packaging is done according to the customer's requirements.
  • Prepare inventory reports and track key performance indicators (KPI) to show current state and create plans for improvement opportunities.
  • Work cross‑functionally to identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement process improvements in collaboration with warehouse and operations leadership.
  • Work closely with scheduling, production, purchasing, quality control and traffic departments and directly supervise a team of several warehousemen and coordinators, also coordinating the work performed by contractors.
  • Set personal objectives, provide fair and constructive feedback, accurately assess employee performance, training needs, areas for improvement and possibility of future growth within the organization, and ensure training and development needs are addressed.
  • Hire, train, coach, counsel and evaluate performance of direct reports.
Experience
  • Logistics experience in shipping/receiving/scheduling.
  • Manufacturing material handling / inventory management.
  • Leadership through leading a team.
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (5S, Kaizen, etc.).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
