Job summary

NRI in Fontana, CA is seeking an Inventory Supervisor to lead our inventory team and ensure accurate processing in line with client and customer needs. You’ll manage training, drive performance, and collaborate with the DC Manager to forecast labor and meet deadlines.

The role requires strong WMS proficiency, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Occasional travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience leading an inventory team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Leads training, cross-training and development of team members.
• Monitors goals and performance metrics within SLA.
• Plans labor requirements with the DC Manager based on forecasts.
• Provides regular feedback on performance and expectations.
• Follows safety SOPs and maintains clean, safe work areas.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% to NRI facilities.

A Day in the Life

As an Inventory Supervisor, you will play an important part in providing direction to the inventory team by ensuring all inventory is handled and processed according to client and customer needs. You’ll be working with product from some awesome clients that are heavily involved in the active lifestyle.

What does success look like in this role?

The ideal candidate has effective communication and interaction across all levels of the organization including clients to ensure inventory issues and tasks are being handled in a timely and appropriate manner. This person must have the ability to manage the training and development of a team with an analytical and tactical approach. They must be comfortable to work independently but also embrace collaboration and working within a dynamic, positive, and energetic team.

The following schedule is available for this role:

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00PM

Starting Pay:

$70,304 - $85,652

All About You

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

• Excellent technical capabilities with proficiency in warehouse management system (WMS)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties, follow through assignments with a minimum of direction, and be extremely detail oriented

• Experience in continuous improvement tools/methodologies to drive customer fulfillment, quality, efficiency and safety

• Experience in leading personnel to ensure all assigned activities are performed effectively and efficiently

• Has the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.
• Trustworthy and moral character (we use pre-employment background & drug tests)

The Must Haves:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field preferred

• 3+ years of experience leading an inventory team

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook and Excel

• Must have physical ability to carry out essential job functions, including but not limited to, the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., walking and standing for extended periods, climbing ladders/stairs, ok with heights in elevated areas and tolerating conditions such as dust, dirt, noise, odors, heat, cold, etc.

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required

• Ensures the training, cross-training and development of team members

• Communicates, monitors and drives goals and operational performance metrics while working within SLA

• Collaborate with the DC Manager by planning labor requirements based on forecast and direction from the Client

• Communicates expectations and provides regular feedback on performance

• FollowingNRI safety rules, safety procedures, security protocol and standard operating procedures (SOP)

• Keeps work and storage areas in a safe, clean, and tidy condition at all times

• Performs other duties as requested
• Ability to travel up to 20% to NRI facilities based on business needs
