Job summary

NRI is seeking an Inventory Supervisor in Fontana, CA, to lead the inventory team and ensure all processes meet client and customer needs. The role requires strong WMS proficiency, leadership, and a focus on continuous improvement within a dynamic team.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, with starting pay between $67,500 and $85,652, and responsibilities include training, performance monitoring, labor planning, and strict adherence to safety SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience leading an inventory team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and endure standing/walking for extended periods.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead training, cross-training and development of the inventory team.
• Monitor and report on operational performance metrics within SLA.
• Collaborate with the DC Manager to plan labor requirements based on forecasts.
• Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback on performance.
• Follow NRI safety rules, SOPs and security procedures.
• Keep work areas safe, clean and organized.
• Travel up to 20% to NRI facilities as needed.

A Day in the Life

As an Inventory Supervisor, you will play an important part in providing direction to the inventory team by ensuring all inventory is handled and processed according to client and customer needs. You'll be working with product from some awesome clients that are heavily involved in the active lifestyle.

What does success look like in this role?

The ideal candidate has effective communication and interaction across all levels of the organization including clients to ensure inventory issues and tasks are being handled in a timely and appropriate manner. This person must have the ability to manage the training and development of a team with an analytical and tactical approach. They must be comfortable to work independently but also embrace collaboration and working within a dynamic, positive, and energetic team.

The following schedule is available for this role:

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00PM

All About You

What You'll Bring to the Role:

• Excellent technical capabilities with proficiency in warehouse management system (WMS)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties, follow through assignments with a minimum of direction, and be extremely detail oriented

• Experience in continuous improvement tools/methodologies to drive customer fulfillment, quality, efficiency and safety

• Experience in leading personnel to ensure all assigned activities are performed effectively and efficiently

• Has the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.
• Trustworthy and moral character (we use pre-employment background & drug tests)

The Must Haves:

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field preferred

• 3+ years of experience leading an inventory team

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook and Excel

• Must have physical ability to carry out essential job functions, including but not limited to, the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., walking and standing for extended periods, climbing ladders/stairs, ok with heights in elevated areas and tolerating conditions such as dust, dirt, noise, odors, heat, cold, etc.

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required

• Ensures the training, cross-training and development of team members

• Communicates, monitors and drives goals and operational performance metrics while working within SLA

• Collaborate with the DC Manager by planning labor requirements based on forecast and direction from the Client

• Communicates expectations and provides regular feedback on performance

• FollowingNRI safety rules, safety procedures, security protocol and standard operating procedures (SOP)

• Keeps work and storage areas in a safe, clean, and tidy condition at all times

• Performs other duties as requested
• Ability to travel up to 20% to NRI facilities based on business needs
