Job summary

Stark Carpet, a leader in luxury rugs, seeks an experienced Inventory Supervisor to oversee all aspects of inventory management, lead a team, monitor stock levels, and coordinate cross‑department workflows.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. This is a full‑time role with a hiring/retention bonus up to $1,000 within the first year.

You will conduct regular audits, manage RFID tagging, and drive cost controls while maintaining accuracy and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach inventory specialists and staff.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventory reports.
  • Conduct quarterly showroom inventory audits.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of rugs and RFID tagging.
  • Oversee showroom rug selection and inter-showroom transfers.
  • Collaborate with sales, warehouse, and logistics teams.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.

Job description

STARK is seeking an experienced Inventory Supervisor. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including accuracy, organization, and workflow efficiency. The Inventory Supervisor will lead a team, monitor stock levels, coordinate with other departments, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support inventory specialists and staff, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management.

  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventory reports for each showroom within the region, tracking memos, transfers, sales orders, and outstanding transactions.

  • Inventory Audits: Conduct and oversee showroom inventory audits at least once every three months, adjusting frequency in coordination with regional sales leadership.

  • Reconciliation: Ensure accurate inventory reconciliation of all rugs and manage RFID tagging for precise tracking.

  • Showroom Coordination: Oversee rug selection management and coordinate transfer orders for inter-showroom shipments.

  • Collaboration: Partner with showroom managers, sales teams, and inventory specialists to enforce proper procedures and resolve inventory-related issues.

  • Accuracy Monitoring: Monitor memos, transfers, sales, returns, and long-term loans; ensure all transactions are accurately documented and resolved promptly.

  • Issue Escalation: Escalate complex inventory issues to regional sales leadership with recommendations for resolution.

  • Quality & Damage Control: Implement quality and damage control measures, ensuring rugs meet standards; manage returns, replacements, cleaning, and repairs as needed.

  • Cost Control: Monitor and minimize inventory-related expenses, including losses, repairs, and damages.

  • Equipment & Supplies: Oversee procurement and upkeep of inventory equipment and supplies such as RFID tags, barcode scanners, and packaging materials.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, warehouse, and logistics teams to align inventory processes with company objectives.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices to streamline inventory management and improve efficiency.

  • System Support & Training: Act as the primary contact for inventory system inquiries; train staff to optimize use of software and tools.

Preferred Experience


  • Previous experience in the rug, textile, or home furnishings industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.

  • Familiarity with RFID technology.

  • Experience managing multiple locations or showrooms.
