Job summary

EXCEL Group is seeking an Inventory-Storeroom Clerk to support maintenance operations at our industrial facility. You will receive, inspect, label, store, and track materials, while ensuring accurate counts and timely distribution to production and maintenance teams.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of warehouse experience, basic data entry skills, and familiarity with SAP. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work rotating shifts is required; forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Able to work rotating days, nights, and every other weekend.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Inventory, data entry, and computer skills required.
• SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming materials.
• Verify quantities and quality received against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Label and store items in designated storeroom locations.
• Maintain inventory records using computerized systems or manual logs.
• Process requisitions and distribute materials to production or maintenance departments.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventories.
• Create bin locations and labels for new inventory items.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies for handling hazardous materials or equipment.

The Inventory-Storeroom Clerk will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring timely availability of materials, and supporting efficient operations within our industrial facility.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming materials, parts, and supplies.
• Verify quantities and quality received against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Properly label and store items in designated locations within the storeroom.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems or manual logs.
• Process requisitions and distribute materials to production or maintenance departments as requested.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventories to reconcile discrepancies.
• Create bin locations and labels for new inventory items.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies for handling hazardous materials or equipment.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the storeroom and associated storage areas.

Requirements

• 2 years of previous warehouse experience required.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, and every other weekend.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Inventory, data entry, and computer skills required.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing 10–50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing more than 100 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and regularly stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures depending on the season.
• Good communication, organizational, and time-management skills required.
• Must be dependable and reliable.
• Must be able to pass drug screening.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
