Job description

At Relativity Space, we’re building rockets to serve today’s needs and tomorrow’s breakthroughs. OurTerran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting the growing demand for launchcapacity. But that’s just the start. Achieving commercial success with Terran R will unlock newopportunities to advance science, exploration, and innovation, pioneering progress that reaches beyondthe known.

Joining Relativity means becoming part of something where autonomy, ownership, and impact exist at every level. Here, you're not just executing tasks; you're solving problems that haven’t been solved before, helping develop a rocket, a factory, and a business from the ground up. Whether you’re in propulsion, manufacturing, software, avionics, or a corporate function, you’ll collaborate across teams, shape decisions, and see your work come to life in record time. Relativity is a place where creativity and technical rigor go hand in hand, and your voice will help define the stories we’re writing together. Nowis a unique moment in time where it’s early enough to leave your mark on the product, the process, andthe culture, but far enough along that Terran R is tangible and picking up momentum. The mostmeaningful work of your career is waiting. Join us.

About the Team:

The Supply Chain team turns design intent into executable reality, balancing lead time, cost, complexity, and manufacturability to ensure we can build and scale Terran R. On this team, you're not just placing orders; you're actively shaping the solution. With full ownership across raw materials, capital equipment, and services, the role requires both strategic thinking and day-to-day execution. As the company scales, supply chain becomes increasingly central, working closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and more to make decisions that work for today but also for tomorrow. This is a team for those who want to operate at the intersection of technical ambition and business execution, driving tangible progress to keep the Terran R program on track.

About the Role:

As an Inventory Specialist II, you own the operational excellence of our inventory system and are developing into a trusted subject-matter expert on our enterprise systems (ERP/MES), ensuring materials flow accurately and on time to production teams.

  • Execute all inventory transactions (receiving, putaway, picking, issuance, returns) in real time through our ERP/MES systems, maintaining greater than 99.9% record accuracy with full lot, serial, and location traceability
  • Own the daily cycle count program: schedule and execute counts by priority stratification, investigate discrepancies within the same shift, document root causes, and elevate variances to the Inventory Lead
  • Verify incoming material as the final quality gate before it enters production inventory: confirming part numbers, revisions, quantities, condition, and shelf life, and quarantining any discrepant material with clear documentation
  • Pick and kit parts, materials, and hardware to support on-time, in-full delivery to production, applying FIFO discipline and verifying serialized flight hardware against build records
  • Handle all parts to aerospace FOD, ESD, and contamination-control standards, maintain 5S organization in assigned zones, and store ITAR-controlled material in designated secured areas in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Communicate proactively with cross‑functional stakeholders: confirming ETAs on part requests, flagging supply issues before they impact production, completing shift handoffs, and proposing process improvements that strengthen inventory control
  • This is a second‑shift position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. PT. The role is structured around a 50‑hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week. In addition to base pay, employees receive a 10% shift premium.
About You:
  • 2+ years of experience in an inventory, logistics, receiving, or material handling role
  • 1+ years of forklift experience, with the ability to obtain and maintain certification per OSHA standards
  • Experience executing transactions in ERP and warehouse management software with a complete, accurate audit trail
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email communication
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including non‑standard shifts, overtime, and weekends as production demands
Nice to haves but not required:
  • Experience in the aerospace, launch services, or another highly regulated manufacturing industry
  • Experience building or improving inventory control procedures, such as cycle count programs
  • Familiarity with flight hardware, lot/serial traceability, or ESD and FOD prevention standards, 5S
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
