Job summary

Wyld is seeking an Inventory Specialist in Melrose Park, IL to accurately document and track finished products in METRC and internal systems. You will coordinate before and after packaging, tests, and sales fulfillment, acting as a contact for sales reps with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include daily inventory audits, labeling, transferring inventory, and collaborating with the Inventory Manager on packing plans.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of directly related experience in inventory, analyst or logistics roles.
  • Experience with fast-paced environments and high urgency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google tools, Slack; Jira or similar platforms preferred.
  • Good written and spoken English communication.
  • Basic math skills: add/subtract/multiply/divide.
  • Forklift certification may be required.
  • ServSafe or Food Handler’s Card preferred.

Compensation: $22.00 - $26.75 / hour

Summary

As Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately documenting and tracking all finished products within the state-mandated inventory tracking systems (METRC, or the state equivalent) as well as all internal tracking systems. Coordinates inventory before and after packaging, testing and sales fulfillment. Facilitates and assists with all sale transactions including being a point-of-contact for our company sales representatives. This role must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in inventory control based on company standards and state regulations:
    • Document and enter all inventory from production kitchen into METRC, or other state-specific inventory tracking system
    • Clearly label all inventory
    • Perform daily audits of physical inventory
    • Collaborate with Inventory Supervisor or Manager on inventory levels and packaging planning
    • Log all transfers from inventory items into finished packaged sellable units
  • Fulfill orders, complete manifest documentation, facilitate the intake and outtake of product with sales representatives
  • Receive, stage, and coordinate the flow of raw materials throughout the facility.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inventory vault and ensure a safe working environment
  • Effectively communicate information and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company:
    • Report any product or production equipment that appears damaged, spoiled, broken, unusable, or unsatisfactory in any way to supervisors
    • Communicate discrepancies in quantities or quality of product
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs
Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of directly related experience and/or training in an inventory, analyst or logistics role or environment, preferably in the food or beverage industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have experience working with a high sense of urgency preferably in a fast-paced work environment
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft suite (core applications), Google, Slack, experience in Jira and/or other management platforms and software preferred
  • Language Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written
  • Math Skills: Possess basic mathematical skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel required between buildings and sites
  • Ability to maintain/manage confidential information
  • State regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or older
  • ServSafe or Food Handler’s Card preferred
  • Will be required to submit to a background check
  • Willingness to obtain forklift certification, if required
  • Must obtain all applicable state-required permits, licenses, and certifications
