Job description

Join to apply for the Inventory Specialist role at Walgreens.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Executing, monitoring, and training on inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy. Supporting pharmacy inventory activities such as receiving, counting, ordering, and returns. Ensuring On-Shelf Availability and validating planogram accuracy.
  2. Reviewing and coordinating report and system application usage to ensure accuracy of front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing.
  3. Implementing and maintaining asset protection techniques, and filing claims for overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods, including prescription drugs.
  4. In designated stores, opening and closing the store in the absence of management, including systems start-up, cash handling, cashier responsibilities, and preparing the floor and stockroom for operations.

Additional responsibilities encompass customer engagement, operational tasks such as managing deliveries, verifying pharmacy shipments, executing inventory processes, supporting pricing activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting store policies and procedures.

Qualifications include prior retail or Walgreens experience, fluency in English, flexibility in scheduling, attention to detail, operational problem-solving skills, and relevant certifications for pharmacy roles.

Preferred qualifications include previous leadership or pharmacy technician experience, especially with Walgreens.

This role is full-time, management and manufacturing function, with a focus on inventory control and management.
