A leading company in New Hampshire is seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage item setup, inventory control, and cycle counting. The role involves ensuring optimal space utilization, conducting cycle counts, and requires strong organizational and computer skills. This position operates from Monday to Friday with potential for mandatory overtime.
Description
JOB OBJECTIVE
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for Item Set-up, Sku Slotting, fullness Planning and assisting with Cycle Counting.
JOB SUMMARY
• Responsible for item set-up, entering specific item information into IRMS (default storage zone primary pick location, minimum and maximum storage parameters, etc.)
• Determining pick locations for items that ensures optimum space utilization and maximum picking productivity
• Assist Inventory Control Manager with projects as needed
• Regularly monitor inventory for out-of-stock issues and review with appropriate manager or supervisor
• Update and maintain SKU set up (e.g., A,B,C classification)
• Maintain stock location and bin location system
• Conduct daily cycle count, including identifying and correcting issues that impact accuracy
• Provides weekly fullness report
• Works in Outbound as business requires
• Establish and maintain reserve storage and primary pick facility fullness reports and recommend solutions for space utilization issues
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed
• May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week periodically as business needs require
• Required to work productively and cooperatively with co-workers
• Perform other job duties as assigned
• Able to carry and lift 50lbs. on a regular basis, stand for several hours at a time
Rate of pay is $19.00 per hour.
Shift is Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with mandatory overtime.
Requirements
EXPECTATIONS
• High School degree with 1-3 years experience in a warehouse setting
• Must have strong computer skills preferably spreadsheet/database programs, along with strong math and analytical skills
• Experience with inventory control and SKU management desired
• Solid organizational and communication skills both verbal and written
