Job summary

BW Papersystems is seeking a Material Handler to receive, store, and process materials and parts. You will manage inventory and prepare items for shipment, including picking, packing and shipping with carriers and building kits as needed.

The role requires attention to detail, forklift operation skills, and adherence to safety procedures. 1+ years’ experience is preferred and HS diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience preferred.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Experience with woodworking, construction or power tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming materials, inspect for damage and compare against freight bills.
• Store and organize inventory in proper locations with accurate records.
• Pick, pack and ship orders via UPS and FedEx; build crates when needed.
• Perform kitting by assembling lower-level parts into paired numbers for manufacturing packets.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks to move and organize materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow established safety procedures.
• Support after-hours emergency services and participate in team meetings to resolve issues.
• Handle disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste per regulations with proper labeling.
