Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a material handler.
• Familiarity with kitting, material releasing, and cycle counting.
• Experience using a microscope for detailed inspection of small parts.
• Basic computer skills, including barcode scanning.
• Basic Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to use MRP software; knowledge of Mapics/ERP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receiving & Storage: verify materials from receiving inspection, ensure quantity, part numbers, and descriptions match paperwork.
• Data Entry: log received items by part number into the computer system.
• Inventory Management: conduct daily cycle counts, maintain accurate inventory records, and verify transactions.
• Attention to Detail: count small parts accurately, using a microscope when necessary, to prevent errors.
• Material Handling: store and distribute raw materials, component parts, subassemblies, and assemblies to support manufacturing processes.
• Production Support: issue components to production lines as per schedule, maintaining necessary documentation.
• Documentation: read and interpret part requests, BOMs, and order picking lists.
• Standard stockroom duties include receiving and issuing of details as well as spooling (cable).
• Shipping: Receiving, counting incoming deliveries and generating receiving documents.
• Packaging and generating shipping documents for outgoing shipments.
• Package items for shipment to foreign destinations including all documentation.
• Safety & Compliance: ensure daily compliance with safety requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Teamwork & Training: assist in training other employees as needed.
• Communication: communicate issues to Leads, Supervisors, Quality, or Management.
