East Coast Metal Distributors, Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate in Savannah, GA to support branch operations by expediting customer orders and maintaining a clean, orderly warehouse.

The role involves handling inventory, validating shipments, and assisting with packing lists while ensuring accuracy and safety. Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED and be proficient with Microsoft Office; HVAC or counter sales experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Experience in counter sales, HVAC and customer service is desired.
• Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Able to use general office machines and a multi-line telephone.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in expediting customer orders and maintain a clean, orderly warehouse.
• Verify and document inventory arrivals and incorporate into branch inventory.
• Validate items and quantities on pick tickets and transfer requests with proper initialing and dating.
• Unloads inbound inventory and documents arrivals with packing lists.
• Ship orders via LTL, UPS, and company delivery vehicles; report discrepancies.
• Become proficient and certified in forklift safety and operations.
