Job summary

AFL is seeking an Inventory Control and S/R Utility Operator to support inventory control, shipping, and related logistics for OPGW and Alumoweld products. The role involves investigating discrepancies, maintaining sub-inventory locations, and performing cycle counts to ensure accuracy across multiple cable facilities.

The position requires hands-on experience in manufacturing, familiarity with ETQ/QTS/Oracle, and a strong focus on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of manufacturing, inventory control and safe forklift operation experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing safety standards.
• Previous manufacturing / quality related experience in the cable industry.
• Oracle, QTS, and ETQ system knowledge.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word and [truncated in source]
• Basic understanding of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) management systems to include general safety rules, personal protective equipment, hazard recognition, behavioral based safety, incident reporting requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Practical Understanding of EHS and quality systems

Responsibilities

• Investigate inventory inaccuracies (negative values, missing inventory, etc.), maintains temporary sub-inventory locations; determines root causes and develops solutions.
• Investigates and resolves operations’ related operator transaction errors resulting in inventory discrepancies.
• Monitors ETQ WOP/FGI Requests and processes related tasks.
• Coordinate and/or perform cycle count process adjustment and adhere to the monthly cycle count calendar.
• Provide shipping support including ship schedule review, packaging, and related transactions.
• Investigate and resolve shipping related discrepancies.
• Maintain material coordinator and shipping certification requirements.
