Job summary

Valmont Industries in Salina, KS is seeking a Shipping-Receiving Clerk for the Global Coatings Division. You will track inventory, inspect for damage, and ensure accurate labeling and counts for incoming and outgoing product.

Responsibilities include reading orders, coordinating with warehouse staff, and maintaining a clean, organized area while following safety rules. A high school diploma and forklift experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• The ability to pay attention to detail and follow written and verbal work instructions.
• The ability to read a tape measure.
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Identify materials being loaded and unloaded to ensure proper storage.
• Read Customer Orders, Work Orders, Shipping Orders, or Requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed/shipped.
• Advise warehouse crew of load amounts, and provide instructions for incorrect amounts.
• Double check quality and piece counts on loads prior to shipment.
• Operate Forklift in a safe and secure manner.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment and follow facility safety regulations.
