Job summary

DO Supply LLC is seeking an Inventory & Receiving Supervisor to lead daily inventory control, receiving, and warehouse organization at our Raleigh operation. You will oversee inventory intake, accuracy, and movement, while driving efficiency and safety across teams.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who develops teams, solves inventory challenges, and drives operational excellence. This role partners with Purchasing, Production, Fulfillment, and Sales to support business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop inventory team with accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Plan and prioritize daily/weekly receiving, inventory control, putback, and movement activities.
  • Ensure accurate receiving and processing within established turnaround times.
  • Investigate discrepancies and communicate issues to stakeholders.
  • Schedule and perform inventory audits, cycle counts, and location audits.
  • Identify variances and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy.
  • Enforce SOPs and proper scanning, handling, and storage procedures.
  • Monitor storage health, capacity, and aging inventory trends.
  • Provide recommendations on liquidation and optimization of inventory.
  • Support asset recovery by reviewing history and escalating concerns.
  • Maintain clean, organized, safe locations and workspaces.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Fulfillment, Sales, and Ops teams.

Summary

DO Supply is seeking an Inventory & Receiving Supervisor to lead daily inventory control, receiving, and warehouse organization activities within our growing Raleigh operation. This role is responsible for overseeing inventory intake, inventory accuracy, stock movement processes, warehouse organization, and inventory infrastructure support.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys developing teams, improving processes, solving inventory challenges, and driving operational excellence. This position plays a critical role in ensuring inventory accuracy, efficient warehouse operations, and exceptional support for internal stakeholders across Purchasing, Production, Fulfillment, and Sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop the inventory team while promoting a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Plan, assign, and prioritize daily and weekly receiving, inventory control, putback, warehouse organization, and inventory movement activities
  • Ensure incoming inventory is received accurately and processed within established turnaround expectations
  • Investigate, document, and communicate receiving discrepancies and inventory issues to appropriate stakeholders
  • Schedule and complete inventory audits, cycle counts, location audits, and inventory-control activities
  • Identify inventory variances and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy
  • Enforce inventory control best practices and ensure proper scanning, handling, movement, and storage procedures are followed
  • Monitor inventory storage health, warehouse capacity, location utilization, and aging inventory trends
  • Provide recommendations regarding liquidation, surplus inventory, and inventory optimization opportunities
  • Support lost asset research and recovery efforts by reviewing inventory history, conducting investigations, and escalating unresolved concerns
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse inventory locations, aisles, staging areas, and workspaces
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Fulfillment, Sales, and Operations teams to support inventory-related initiatives and business objectives
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
What We Are Looking For

Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse best practices
  • Experience with warehouse management systems, inventory software, and barcode scanning technology
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and business software applications
  • Strong leadership, delegation, and employee development skills
  • Ability to investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes
  • Experience implementing and enforcing standard operating procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze inventory data and drive operational improvements
  • Experience working with label printers, scanners, inventory tracking tools, and warehouse equipment
  • SQL experience is beneficial
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree or coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in warehouse receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, material handling, or related inventory functions required
  • Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience assigning work, training employees, and providing performance feedback preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate inventory discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and improve inventory processes
  • Experience working within warehouse operations and inventory management environments required

Work Schedule

This position is typically scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. An 8:30am to 5:30pm schedule may be approved by management as business needs allow. Employees are expected to maintain reliable attendance and follow company attendance policies.

This position operates within a warehouse environment and requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and material handling activities. Employees regularly use forklifts, electric pallet jacks, barcode scanners, inventory systems, label printers, computers, and other warehouse equipment. Protective footwear meeting or exceeding ASTM F2413 standards is required at all times. Team members are expected to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
