A. B. Boyd Co. is seeking a Receiving Clerk in Elkhart, Indiana to accurately enter materials and goods into inventory. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and independence, serving as the primary contact for inquiries about orders received.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Solid math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.
• History of safety in the workplace and solid attendance record.
• Experience using forklifts (multi-directional/side loader/swing mast).

Responsibilities

• Perform reconciliation of Inbounds.
• Confirm and record quantity of goods received.
• Examine contents and compare with records to verify accuracy of shipment.
• Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders.
• Contact carrier representative to arrange shipping and delivery of materials.
• Rectify problems such as damages, shortages, and nonconformances.
• Unload and organize new product receipts with forklift.
• Compute space, shipping, storage, and demurrage charges.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
