Vallen Distribution, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Storeroom Crib Attendant to manage day-to-day receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting of inventory at a customer site.

The role emphasizes maintaining an organized, safe work environment and accurate stock records. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent with 3+ months of related experience, basic computer skills, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 3+ months relevant experience or training.
• Forklift/cherry picker experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency; ERP familiarity (MS-Office products, Vista, Control, SX.e, Prophet 21).
• Demonstration of basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide; compute rate, ratio, percent).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and be self-motivated to accomplish tasks and goals.
• Attention to detail and safety minded.

Responsibilities

• Unloads, receives and puts away incoming product, goods, tools and/or equipment; checks for damage and discrepancies with invoices.
• Sorts, labels, moves and stores items; arranges storage to optimize crib space.
• Issues product to site employees and maintains accurate issued/returned records.
• Enters data into a database to maintain stock records; responds to inquiries about inventory levels or delivery schedules.
• Requests requisitions to replenish inventory and assists with cycle counts.
• Inspects tools/equipment for defects and reports issues; maintains periodic inventory records.
• Delivers tools or equipment to associate work locations and assists in locating lost equipment.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
