We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic MATERIALS TECHNICIAN with a track record of unparalleled professionalism, integrity, and loyalty to join our team. The Materials Technician is responsible for dealing directly with the customers and suppliers on complex issues of material supply and record balance. In addition, the Materials Technician is responsible for investigating and resolving balance issues that cannot be resolved at the level of his/her direct reports. The ideal candidate MUST be able to demonstrate the following:

  1. Manage inventory using a min-max methodology
  2. Determine inbound windows to ensure a smooth flow of material
  3. Maintain the layout for all material received and manage material flow using scanning technology to route and deliver material
  4. Manage returnable containers to suppliers
  5. Manage engineering change process to ensure breakpoints are achieved effectively
  6. Participate and engage in continuous improvement activities
  7. Manage overflow situations effectively
  8. Communicate and interact with internal and external customers to resolve issues
  9. Involved in Multi-disciplinary Five Phase Problem Solving Teams that directly drive the company's Continuous Improvement Process and Policies
  10. Responsible for On the Job Training and keep proper documentation and records
  11. Promote and maintain a safe working environment
  12. Enforce company policies/procedures and corresponding work instructions
  13. Additional tasks or functions as assigned by the Plant Manager
  14. Complete Weekly Layered Audits
  15. Monitor supplier non-conformances and issue PRRs accordingly
  16. Monitor inbound loads for timeliness
  17. Monitor all gains and losses and react as necessary
  18. Train SSA/CMC Clerks, MinMax Supervisors, and Material Clerks
  19. Update materials records to keep their integrity
  20. Supervise inventories, oversee the upkeep of visuals for each part
  21. Oversee EWO changes
  22. Work directly with customer Materials Department to ensure timely delivery of parts
  23. Notify appropriate personnel of changes needed
  24. Monitor/oversee carrier claims
  25. Oversee compliance of processes with established company policies and standards, such as property personnel practices, security, and record keeping procedure
