Job summary

The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District is seeking a warehouse/purchasing assistant to support the purchase, storage, and distribution of materials. You will handle loading/unloading, meet with suppliers, and maintain inventory using the District’s systems.

Your role includes assisting with purchasing, arranging exchanges of damaged goods, and supporting district personnel with procurement needs. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and three years of progressively responsible warehouse experience.
• Valid driver’s license issued by the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the purchase, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies.
• Assist in loading/unloading of procured materials using District material handling equipment.
• Meet with suppliers and evaluate parts, manufacturers, and suppliers.
• Maintain and update inventory records using District Inventory Control and Purchasing systems.
• Prepare item replenishment reports and check shipments/delivery schedules.
• Procure items/services via District Procurement system and assist with purchasing issues.
