Inventory Purchase and Receipt Specialist, Per Diem

Supports activities required to monitor and maintain inventory integrity of stock, including oversight and ongoing maintenance of PAR levels throughout D-HH.

Responsibilities

  1. Assists in maintaining site data accuracy.
  2. Performs cyclical physical inventories to verify stock status and identify discrepancies.
  3. Updates the Distribution Stock Catalog.
  4. Processes return paperwork for credits.
  5. Inputs supply requisitions and shopping guide orders.
  6. Performs user-level programming of handheld computers.
  7. Enters data into the call tracking system.
  8. Conducts inventory of par level storage areas using handheld or manual methods.
  9. Coordinates with purchasing to resolve discrepancies.
  10. Performs PAR capacity analysis and reviews statistical data with managers to recommend adjustments.
  11. Implements approved changes to par levels in the MMIS system.
  12. Oversees the PAR system and performs quality checks.
  13. Resolves inventory and stock issues professionally, following up as needed.
  14. Sets up new par stocking locations and reviews par levels with internal customers.
  15. Provides team leadership and assists in training new staff.
  16. Ensures regulatory compliance for handling pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
  17. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in shipping/receiving, warehousing, storekeeping, hospital distribution, or inventory control.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access preferred.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and automated systems.
  • Leadership skills and ability to plan and organize work.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in teams.
