Job summary

Hurco in Indianapolis, Indiana is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator / Production Planner to join our team. This role focuses on maintaining inventory levels, coordinating production schedules, and ensuring materials are available to meet customer and operational needs.

You will collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, Inventory, and other cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, using MRP/ERP systems to release work orders and track progress toward on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in MRP, production planning, or inventory control.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Axapta/D365 preferred).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain optimum inventory levels to support on-time deliveries, stocking requirements, and customer demand.
• Develop and release production work orders based on MRP planned order requirements.
• Coordinate production planning activities to support efficient workflow and meet established production schedules.
• Monitor the progress of production jobs and identify potential delays or schedule variances.
• Communicate production schedule changes and provide timely updates to the appropriate teams.
• Work closely with Operations, Purchasing, Inventory, and other cross-functional teams to resolve material and production issues.
• Maintain accurate production and inventory information within the company's systems.
