Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Marshalltown, IA is seeking a Full-time Supply Chain Associate to manage inventory and support procurement, sourcing, and quoting functions for customer needs, helping the branch run smoothly.

You will coordinate resources, respond to supply chain requests, and assist with accounts receivable while upholding Fastenal’s values and ensuring efficient operations at 1309 Industrial Blvd, Marshalltown, IA 50158.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving record requirements to use a company vehicle
• Pursuing or has a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales, or related field or has customer service or industry experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Self-motivated, customer service oriented
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail
• Demonstrate organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Demonstrate problem solving and decision making skills
• Adhere to Fastenal core values: ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages weighing 25–50 lbs (up to 75 lbs)
• Pass drug screen (US, Puerto Rico, Guam)

Responsibilities

• Managing branch inventory levels
• Administering procurement functions including purchase orders and backorder management
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs
• Supporting accounts receivable activities
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
