Job summary

Poppies Bakeries LLC in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking a Planning & Inventory Manager to align production planning, inventory coordination, materials planning, and cross‑functional communication for a fast‑paced frozen food facility.

You will partner with Production, Procurement, Quality, Warehousing, Logistics, Packaging, Sales, Customer Service, and the Raw Material teams to build dependable schedules, manage inventory targets, and minimize waste while upholding food safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of inventory planning, inventory control, or related operations in manufacturing.
• Experience in food manufacturing, frozen foods, or CPG preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP a plus).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short‑term and long‑term production schedules based on demand forecasts, orders, and capacity.
• Manage inventory targets, safety stock, reorder points, and aging/waste reduction.
• Coordinate material availability with raw materials and packaging teams.
• Lead demand planning and establish S&OP processes.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and coordinate cycle counts, variance analysis, and corrective actions.
• Support food safety and GMP compliance in all planning activities.
