Job description

About the company

Divyum Ventures Ltd is a growing UK-based international e-commerce business specialising in sustainable food packaging and catering products. Through our FOOGO Green brand, we supply customers across the UK and Europe through Amazon UK and EU, Shopify, eBay, wholesale channels and new marketplaces.

Our products are sourced mainly from India and China. Inventory is held across our UK warehouse, Amazon fulfilment centres and other sales locations, with further stock in production or in transit by sea. The business is growing, and we now need a dedicated person to take ownership of inventory planning and supply‑chain execution.

Role overview

We are looking for a highly analytical and hands-on Inventory Planning and Supply Chain Specialist to build and manage our end-to-end stock-planning system. We have approximately 120 to 130 core product lines represented by more than 1,000 marketplace, bundle and pack-size SKUs.

You will consolidate demand across these SKUs, forecast requirements, recommend purchases and stock movements, obtain approval from the Directors, and then execute every approved action through to completion. The role combines demand planning, inventory management, purchasing coordination, landed-cost analysis, marketplace allocation and working-capital planning.

This is not primarily a warehouse stock-counting or purchase-order data-entry position. It requires strong numerical ability, advanced Excel skills, commercial judgement and the confidence to create a reliable planning process from data held across several systems.

Working from home and small company environment

This is a fully remote, work-from-home role based in India. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently for a small and growing international company. There will not be a large department or a manager checking every activity throughout the day.

You must be able to organise your own workload, identify problems early, ask the right questions, communicate clearly with the Directors and global partners, and follow approved actions through without repeated reminders. You should be practical, resourceful and willing to work across different parts of the supply chain when required.

  • Work consistently from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm UK time, including the seasonal change between British summer and winter time.
  • Maintain a professional home-working setup with reliable internet, a suitable computer and a quiet environment for calls.
  • Remain available and responsive during agreed working hours to colleagues, suppliers, freight partners and the Directors.
  • Work independently while providing clear progress updates, documenting decisions and escalating risks promptly.
  • Be comfortable with changing priorities and the practical, hands-on nature of a small business.
Key responsibilities
Demand and inventory planning
  • Build and maintain an integrated stock-planning system using Excel, Zoho Inventory and data from Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, eBay, warehouses and other marketplaces.
  • Map core products, pack sizes, bundles and marketplace SKUs so demand is consolidated correctly at product and component level.
  • Prepare forecasts by product, country, channel and fulfilment location, incorporating seasonality, promotions, marketplace deals, growth trends and new-product launches.
  • Calculate reorder points, safety stock, stock cover, order quantities and purchase timing using supplier, production, shipping and receiving lead times.
  • Monitor stock on hand, reserved stock, inbound purchase orders, goods in production, goods at sea and stock held in each marketplace or warehouse.
  • Identify stockout risks, excess stock, ageing inventory and slow-moving products early and recommend corrective action.
Purchasing suppliers and logistics
  • Prepare purchase recommendations and purchase orders for Director approval, mainly for suppliers in India and China.
  • After approval, issue and manage orders, monitor production milestones, coordinate documentation and follow through until the goods are received and reconciled.
  • Manage quotations, MOQs, case quantities, pack configurations, lead times and supplier information, and prepare analysis to support Director-led negotiations.
  • Compare freight routes, transit times, duties and landed costs and recommend the most commercially effective option.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouses and internal teams, escalating delays and risks promptly.
Stock allocation marketplace pricing and promotions
  • Recommend and execute stock allocation between the UK warehouse, Amazon UK FBA, Amazon EU FBA, Shopify, eBay, wholesale channels and new marketplaces.
  • Maintain appropriate replenishment levels at each fulfilment location while avoiding unnecessary storage costs or trapped stock.
  • Plan stock for marketplace promotions and deals and check that sufficient profitable inventory is available.
  • Monitor competitor pricing and support commercially sensible pricing recommendations with the e-commerce team.
  • Track approved transfers, replenishments and purchasing actions through to completion and investigate discrepancies or delays.
Profitability cash flow and reporting
  • Calculate and monitor purchase price, freight, duty and landed cost by product.
  • Work with e-commerce specialists who manage marketplace commissions, fulfilment, storage, advertising and other channel costs to understand complete SKU profitability.
  • Prepare inventory purchasing and cash-flow forecasts showing when funds will be required and where cash is tied up.
  • Balance product availability, gross margin, stock turns, MOQ requirements and working capital before recommending purchases.
  • Provide the Directors with a concise weekly dashboard covering stockout risks, purchase requirements, inbound orders, allocation actions, ageing stock, cash requirements and decisions needed.
Required experience and skills
  • 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in inventory planning, demand planning, replenishment, supply chain, buying or procurement.
  • Experience managing inventory across multiple warehouses, countries, marketplaces or fulfilment locations, preferably in e-commerce, retail, FMCG or consumer products.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP or INDEX and MATCH, SUMIFS, data cleaning, scenario modelling and Power Query.
  • Ability to create forecasting, safety-stock, reorder-point, stock-cover and cash-flow models rather than only update an existing report.
  • Strong numerical reasoning and the ability to turn incomplete or imperfect data into clear recommendations.
  • Understanding of landed cost, inventory turns, gross margin, working capital, lead times and MOQ economics.
  • Strong written and spoken English and confidence communicating with international suppliers, freight partners, warehouses and colleagues.
  • High personal ownership, attention to detail and the discipline to follow tasks through to completion.
Preferred experience
  • Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, eBay or other marketplace replenishment experience.
  • Zoho Inventory or another ERP or inventory-management system.
  • International purchasing from India or China and sea-freight or import experience.
  • Experience with bundles, multipacks, bills of materials or parent-child SKU structures.
  • A relevant qualification in supply chain, operations, commerce, business, engineering or analytics.
What success looks like
  • Fewer avoidable stockouts across priority product lines and marketplaces.
  • Lower excess and ageing inventory without damaging sales availability.
  • Purchase orders raised at the right time and followed through without missed milestones.
  • Reliable visibility of stock on hand, committed, in production, at sea and available by location.
  • Improved stock turns and more controlled use of working capital.
  • Clear and timely recommendations supported by accurate numbers and commercial reasoning.
