Job Summary

The Inventory/Parts Specialist oversees procurement and inventory management of materials and parts, evaluates vendor quotes, negotiates purchases, and ensures timely delivery. Responsibilities include monitoring contract compliance, verifying received materials, maintaining records in the CMMS system, and operating various company vehicles and equipment while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities
  1. Create and lead processes to ensure material availability for repairs and maintenance.
  2. Evaluate vendor quotes and select suppliers.
  3. Purchase, order, and negotiate materials and supplies.
  4. Monitor contract performance for compliance and necessary changes.
  5. Verify received materials, check for discrepancies.
  6. Maintain inventory database and input parts into CMMS.
  7. Operate equipment such as golf carts, vehicles, forklifts.
  8. Follow safety programs and trainings.
  9. Perform additional duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver License
  • 2 years’ experience in material purchasing and inventory control
  • 2 years’ experience in data entry and work order scheduling
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with maintenance tracking systems
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability to obtain airport security badge
  • Availability for day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Airport Operations (a plus)
Physical Demands

Must be able to lift/move up to 20 pounds, stand, walk, handle objects, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Occasionally sit.

Work Environment

Similar to airport operations with vehicular traffic. Exposure to weather, fumes, chemicals, noise, and moving parts. Usually loud environment.
