Job summary

Savannah Logistics Group is seeking a Parts & Inventory Manager to oversee stocking, ordering, and cataloging of parts for our Savannah operation. You will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities include supplier coordination, inventory controls, quality checks, and reporting. The role requires 2–5 years of parts experience, good communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–5 years of parts experience; truck experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Order inventory from vendors and secure shipment arrival times.
• Manage inventory by stocking and cataloging products.
• Perform quality checks and discard non-conforming stock.
• Update inventory counts and share records with management.
• Report discrepancies and potential theft.
• Implement loss prevention programs.
• Obtain estimates from vendors and compare costs.
• Research product details for accuracy.
• Communicate with maintenance techs regarding part orders.
• Keep the shop tidy and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain accounting policies and procedures; ensure internal controls.

Parts & Inventory Manager Job Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ordering inventory from vendors and suppliers and securing shipment arrival times
• Managing inventory by stocking and cataloging products for a business
• Performing quality checks on stored inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the company's standards
• Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders in the business
• Reporting discrepancies in inventory that indicate theft, such as too little inventory at last count
• Implementing loss prevention programs to prevent theft
• Obtaining estimates and price details from different vendors to compare costs
• Researching the accuracy of product details
• Communicating with Maintenance Techs regarding part orders
• Housekeeping - Ensuring Shop is tidy and neat
• Performs Other duties as necessary or assigned
• Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
• Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
• Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Experience with Full Bay a plus
• Minor Truck Repair Experience a plus

Education and Experience:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2-5 years parts, with truck experience a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Employee is required to sit approximately 50%, stand 25%, and walk 25% of work time.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times.
• Able to travel as needed.
