Job summary

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in Leon County seeks a Stores Consultant to manage a central parts/equipment inventory and support fleet services across the state. You will handle stock levels, data entry, and purchasing coordination for field mechanics and technicians.

Responsibilities include receiving and processing parts, maintaining records, and preparing reports, while supervising one OPS employee and providing clerical support to the shop superintendent.

Qualifications

• Background check level 2 is required.
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds daily.
• Two years’ experience with automotive or marine parts inventory.
• Two years’ experience with inventory control."
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with MyFlorida Marketplace.
• Two years’ experience with invoice processing and budget management.
• Two years’ experience with shipping and receiving parts and inventory.
• Ability to analyze budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Must be able to work a four-day ten-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and quality-control a central parts/equipment inventory.
• Track inventory movements; ensure proper documentation and reporting.
• Initiate purchase orders to maintain stock levels and process receipts.
• Assist with vendor quotes and product evaluation.
• Provide admin support and supervise one OPS employee.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
