Job summary

PAQ, Inc. is seeking an Ordering Clerk to manage store merchandise orders and oversee inventory controls. You will verify supplier orders, maintain stock levels, and ensure accurate invoicing and receipt of goods.

The role requires safe operation of warehouse equipment and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced retail environment. Experience with inventory systems and bar code scanning is preferred. 8-hour shifts, weekends and evenings may be needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of inventory systems and procedures.
• Understand grocery items and categories, proper stock rotation.
• OSHA and health & safety regulations awareness.

Responsibilities

• Place and manage orders for store merchandise.
• Verify and track orders from suppliers for accuracy.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and salespeople.
• Oversee stock levels, codes, and item rotation.
• Verify invoices for accurate billing and inventory control.
• Monitor inventory to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
• Review all DSD deliveries for timely receipt of goods.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE correctly.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners safely.
• Report theft, damage, or inventory loss and reduce shrinkage.
• Report store conditions to management promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
