Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Inventory Analyst to ensure inventory accuracy and optimize stock across warehouse locations. You will support operational efficiency through data analysis, cycle counts, and transfer order validation, while implementing inventory controls and warehouse layout improvements.

Responsibilities include establishing min/max levels, analyzing usage trends, resolving discrepancies, and coordinating annual physical inventories.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, logistics, operations management, or related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels for all locations.
Analyze inventory usage trends to determine reorder points and safety stock.
Monitor stock levels and recommend adjustments to prevent shortages/excess.
Identify slow-moving and obsolete inventory and recommend actions.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and root causes.
Develop and execute weekly cycle count schedules; oversee cycle counts.
Coordinate annual physical inventories across locations; prepare variance reports.
Review transfer orders for accuracy prior to shipment; verify quantities and locations.
Redesign and maintain warehouse layouts to maximize productivity; improve picking efficiency.
Generate inventory performance reports and provide recommendations to leadership.
Collaborate with Purchasing, Distribution, Warehouse Operations, and Leadership.
