Job summary

Guitar Center in Westlake Village, California is seeking an Inventory Analyst to support merchandise and store planners, with the goal of minimizing backorders, maximizing inventory turns, and profitability for both eCommerce and Retail.

Responsibilities include tracking late PO deliveries, resolving shortages, reviewing in-transit and backordered items, and coordinating vendor returns, while upholding customer service levels and data accuracy across channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business Administration or 4 years of relevant work experience.
• 1 year of relevant work experience (in addition to degree or years of previous experience).

Responsibilities

• Tracking late PO deliveries, identify issues, and communicate opportunities to team
• Resolution of shortages, overages and problem shipment issues
• Review of in-transit products destined for stores and identify relevant issues such as lost product, missed receipts, etc.
• Promotional pre-setup checks such as inventory position prior to promotional in-home dates.
• Review of open backorders and expediting inventory where necessary
• Maintaining planned arrival dates on all purchase orders and the expediting of past due orders
• Applying PO price variance corrections
• Validation of reserve inventory levels and aged inventory assessment
• Organization, coordination and execution of vendor returns
• Additional duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration
